Joan’s paintings are rooted in the natural landscape. As the paintings progress, the imagery grows with inspiration from within. The process becomes intuitive, and the paintings capture a feeling or emotion. The artwork plays with color, shape and pattern. Working with acrylic paint, pastels or mixed media the paintings integrate design and creativity.
